R.I.P Oreo :(
In memory of my Oreo,
On Tuesday the 21st of June 2016, my little princess passed away.
This hasn't been a shock like Snow's death was, because Oreo was having strokes one week, then I didn't see any more of them, but she could have had them when I was asleep so nobody knows.
I miss her very much, her little pink nose and soft fur.
I remember the day I got her, I was so happy. She was so sweet and tackled off the other hamsters in the cage at Pets At Home, she was strong, and she still was going through her strokes.
When she passed away it was after-school, I walked into the living room and saw she was laying in her tunnel, half of her body in (head) and the other half of her body out. I noticed she wasn't breathing and I made noises she would usually look up to even when she was sleeping. I then noticed, it wasn't too much of a shock as I said before but I was upset.
She seemed peaceful, with her little head and paws in the tunnel like her heart just stopped when she was playing.
I put a little note in with her and were going to try and find a spot in our garden to put her in.
I don't know if i'll be getting anymore hamsters, my mum said I really need to think about it because of the amount of hurt.
I hope she has fun with Snow at the bridge, my two princesses.
Some pictures in memory of my beautiful Oreo:
Rest in peace Oreo, you'll always be in my heart. <3

Re: R.I.P Oreo :(
Oh Snowz, I am so sorry to read this. I remember you bringing her home after Snow passed. Oreo's photos remind us of what a beautiful hammy she was. You have lovely memories there. Your Mum is right, take time to grieve properly. However, grief hurts because of the love you had for her and what she gave you in return. One day you may feel strong enough to have another pet - animal lovers can't help it. Our hearts just get bigger to love them all.
Play well at the bridge Oreo, I am sure Snow was there to greet you and play with you.

Re: R.I.P Oreo :(
Thank you for all the replies and support,
cypher- it does feel much better to know she's at peace instead of the times she was having her strokes, it was hard to watch.
Thin Lizzy- yes she was so photogenic at times and her character was amazing.

Hi snowz I am sorry to hear you have lost your beloved little friend. It is heartbreaking when they are no longer here with us. She looked a beautiful little hammy and you gave her a good life, it is sad about the strokes
As others have said it takes time to grieve and in time I hope you can give another a good home were they too will give you much joy and love in return.
