So sorry - yes an empty space is sad, and finding things. Grieving for a pet can take a bit of time. Have you thought about getting another hammy?

No, I don't want another hamster - I evidently get too attached!

My daughter doesn't want another one either and he was hers really, she got him 2 years ago as a "well done" for doing well in her SATS in Year 6. However, Skittle's cages will go up the loft, they're all clean and fresh, wooden toys have been binned of course, but plastic stuff is clean and kept. Just in case she changes her mind later on. If she does have another one though she can keep him/her in her room so I don't get so attached! Can't go through this again !

Thank you, souffle. It's hard to believe he's been gone a month already. I still miss the little chap, his little furry face and those amazing whiskers he had Gosh, I'm filling up! That was unexpected!

He was a sweetie indeed x
