I think he's gone :'c
I don't even know, I'm lost for words. I was doing my night routine of spot cleaning and filling food bowls and I lift up his burrow to make sure he's okay and he was so still, I stroked him to wake him up but his body is solid and cold, I keep hoping he's just cold and hibernating but I guess he's gone. What do I do.

I know I seem really not upset right now I'm just in shock please don't take my "what do I do" as wanting to get rid of him as soon as, I've just never had a pet die on me before.

Re: I think he's gone :'c
I'm really sorry to hear this. It's so sad when we lose a pet. I'm not much use I'm afraid - whenever I've lost a hamster I've always had someone to help me (either a parent or my OH) as I've always found it too hard myself. So although I haven't any good advice, I just wanted you to know how sorry I am x

Re: I think he's gone :'c
Thank you, we can't bury him until tomorrow so it's going to be so hard with his body, just in my room I hoped he was hibernating since he was in his nest and looks to of passed in his sleep, but his skin under his fur looks blue and his paws have gone purple on the ends, it's such a sad sight, I didn't expect it so soon.

I'm so sorry. Maybe someone could help you move him from your room to a nice little box ready for burying tomorrow. Hugs

Re: I think he's gone :'c
Maybe you could use this evening to pick out a couple of things he really liked - like his favourite wood chew to bury with him? I think I'd find that comforting, to think he had a favourite toy to take with him to the rainbow bridge. And I'm sorry if was too soon but it sounds like he was peaceful and pain free in the end - the best we can wish for them. It's a very sad time for you but please take a little comfort in that. And after tomorrow, take all the time you need to clean his cage. If it needs to sit there for a while before you're ready to deal with it, that's okay x

I sometimes think it can be good to just put something out of sight for a while (eg the cage) and then clean it out when it feels like the right time. It's advice they sometimes give to bereaved humans xxx

I'm still insisting on holding him and trying to warm him up, I can't come to terms with it right now. Thank you for the support and advice guys. <3

That sounds like the right thing to do right now. You will feel ready when the time is right.

So sorry. It's really hard to lose a pet, especially your little fluff.
