Timmy
The day my first hamster, Buttons, passed, I begged my Mom to take me to the pet shop. I went to the back and took my time to find a hamster in need of a good home, and yet shared a special bond with me. I stayed for about twenty minutes before my Mom said ''We haven't got all day!''. A worker came up and said "How may I help you?" We told her we needed a hamster, and she took us behind the glass where there were even more rodents! I found a lonely hamster that was slightly older than all of the rest, and it was very jumpy. He seemed impossible to train because he was so active, and bite-ey. When I got to hold him for the first time, he jumped so far it was like he was flying. I chose that hamster, and gave him a name; Timmy. Timmy veerryy slowly was trained to be a good hamster. It took long, but I was patient. He loved me more than anybody else but was very friendly and very active. He was a good and quiet hamster. We did so much together. One day I saw Timmy sleeping with his ears perked up; Not normal! Timmy was all wet on the bottom from his chin to his tail. I asked wonderful people at HC why that was, and I got beautiful answers that helped me so much! Timmy had been vomiting. He was not opening his mouth, whould nt eat or drink. Timmy wobbled as he walked and struggled to lift his head. At 11:00pm I could smell it in the air and feel it in my heart that Timmy was dying. I held him for an hour more and cried at the sight and sound of Timmy gasping for air as he was taking his last breaths. I knew all along that this was what it was coming to. Year and a half old Timmy died on ~July 5, 2013 at 11:57pm~
