Yesterday I had to make the hardest decision I can remember. Alfie has been struggling with his diabetes for a few months and he really went downhill recently. He got to the point that if he wasn't asleep he was drinking and if he wasn't drinking he was asleep. The medication he was on no longer had an effect and was at the highest dose we could give. Myself and the vet decided that his quality of life wasn't good so I made the decision to help him have his forever sleep as it was obvious he wasn't coping anymore. This little guy has been a good fighter. He recovered from his tummy issues well and the diabetes started when he was recovering. He lost his partner in crime from the tummy trouble and started to sleep with his ping pong ball. He would roll it to his most recent nest he had built and would sleep next to it. He was a very cute little guy!

Aw, poor little Alfie, such a cute chap. You did your best for him and sometimes the hardest decision is what's best for our petpals. Sleep well little fluff.
