Re: Rocky-robo. A grand little chap.
You are all very kind and your words mean a lot. I`ve never been without at least one little companion so this will be the first time I have an empty cage awaiting a new resident, but as we all know, there will always be hamsters in need and if I can give one a decent life as I did with Boris (syrian), Prinny (Chinese) and little Rocky, I will.
Tracy - My friend has a male chinese who she adopted from Pets At Home and he`s still thriving aswell, while in that time, I have lost three seperate hamsters to illness. But it just goes to show that some hammies have more endurance than others.
Jesselle - Thankyou. I do try to help other members if I can even though I can only suggest what I`ve learned from my own experiences, but is is rewarding to be able to give any advice at all.
DrKMck - It`s so nice to still be able to share the hammies on here while I take a short break and know that I will share my life with another little one sometime soon. x

Re: Rocky-robo. A grand little chap.
I am so sorry, RacingHamster I remember when you got Rocky. I was so glad you got yourself a little robo boy. Robos are such tiny little fluffs with so much personality. I'm sure he had a really great life with you and is running happy at the Bridge now.

Re: Rocky-robo. A grand little chap.
Thanks, both of you. I miss him so much I`m going through that `what do I do with myself`transition. It`s rotten not having my cage occupied and I suppose I feel a bit bitter at the unfairness of Rocky`s passing because life just isn`t fair on them sometimes. x

I know the feeling very well. I'm still very bitter about Viola and Izzie. And watching Lucy now (but she's still sort of okay). They are all just too nice to suffer, but that's life indeed

*Hugs* Hamtastic. It`s the losses that are difficult to bare, but we are their caretakers and love them dearly and will always be with us in heart and soul. x

Re: Rocky-robo. A grand little chap.
Thanks vanilla. x I`m sure Rocky is running about without a care looking down on us all wondering what all the long faces are for. x

Re: Rocky-robo. A grand little chap.
Very kind soufflé, thanks. x Isn`t it sad that we just get to really know them when they are taken from us? Rocky didn`t come to live with me until he was six months old and had two previous homes and was understandably a nervous little guy. In the end, he became trusting and I was just getting to the stage where we were best buddies when this happened.
