for the baby wild rabbit..
hey guys, i kinow it wasnt my pet but i wanted to wite a memorial anyway.
Theres a cat in my neibourhood that i look after sometimes becuase its owners dont look after it and as a results it is feril.
each day i see it run past my window with i baby rabit inits mouth and it breaks my heart. yesterday i took it off him and buryed it, hoping to teach him that he woiuldnt get to eat them so hed stop catching them. today same again, but when i got it out of him mouth it ran off! i was so releived. but i couldnt find him and as he was hurt i wanted to. i put the cat down s i thought he has gone, but he found it and bit it and ran off.. the bunny was crying and it was horrible.. its all my fault.
im sorry little one.. i could of saved you but i messed up.. i promise i will try and save every one of your siblings that that cat steals.

Re: for the baby wild rabbit..
Awww this is so sad . I know it's nature but sometimes cats are so cruel!!
It isn't your fault at all you did your best, but i understand to hear it cry like that is awful the poor thing must of been so scared. Owning a bunny myself i know how intelligent they are.
I know it's not your cat but just a suggestion maybe get a collar with the loudest bell you can find, this might help one or two in the future.
Poor cat too, its not its fault its the owners fault who can't be bothered with iy.

Re: for the baby wild rabbit..
Gazmo you shouldn't have to do this, but i totally see why you are. Its not fair you have to see all the baby rabbits being killed!!
Don't feel guilty, you should be proud you are such kind caring person. It's a shame the cats owners aren't too.

Re: for the baby wild rabbit..
when i found him he was so skinny, and i do love the cat, i have to look after him myself as hisowners wont, but i hate what he does. i know its not his fault but i wish he didnt. thankyou icklemunch, you've made me feel a lot better x
im nothing special, i just dont like seeing animals hurt or dying. i have a cricket living in a little cricket house in my room becuase my boyfriend feeds them to his pirahhnas and it was drowning.. i was horrible to see, it also made me cry, but i took him home :L i know its not good to try and save everything but i cant stand it

Re: for the baby wild rabbit..
That must have been horrible for you. I have a cat in my road I call murder cat as it's such a skilled hunter and goes passed with birds and mice so often. I have to tell myself that for him he's just being a cat no matter how brutal I find it.
There was nothing you could have done about this as horrible as it was ,
