Pepper's final journey - RIP

Today Pepper passed away. I took her to the vets to have a consultation. She ended up having to have her bladder drained with a needle. I also got some antibiotics to make her better. I took her home and looked in her carrier and she was gone.
She was an elderly hamster and she probably just couldn't handle it.
I adopted her when she was over a year old so I didn't know her exact age but she was with me for 9 months. She was special, she helped me overcome my anxiety of handling rodents and she was such a sweetheart, I loved her very much.
Find Zoro and play well my sweet Pepper. I love you so much <3

Little Pepper it was a honour to get to know you for 3 weeks when you stayed with me over Christmas (with Zoro I may add) you were always eager for cuddles. Just a gorgeous friendly little girl. RIP sweetie say hi to Zoro & I'm sure the passed Kirby hams who shared this house with you for those few weeks will be happy to see you again too. xxx

Pretty little girl. I am so sorry for your loss of this beautiful little hammy. It's always a hard call with older hammies whether or not a vet visit might be too much. There really is no way to tell. All we can do is our best and you did that for her. I know she's be badly missed. Run free Pepper
