Default Baby Charlie

My sweet little Charlie passed away last night

If you feel up to reading her whole life story, here it is:
I never planned to actually get a hamster, my uncle just had a spare cage (which was a habitrail ovo) and dropped it off at my house. I scrubbed it down, and the next day we went to pets at home. I originally chose a cute looking ham, but as the lady was getting the box ready, I saw Charlie Charleston Charlington Charles lean up against the side and sniff my fingers, and I changed my mind. We were told she was a boy, hence the naming, which i did in the car on the way home. By the time we'd got back, she'd nearly chewed through the cardboard box. We put her in her cage and for about a week she did nothing but come out to eat and drink. She became too noisy for my bedroom so was moved downstairs. She grew a lot and became too big for the habitrail, so I went out and bought a Duna Fun (facepalm, I was very naive). When I first put her in, it was the first ever cage she had been in with levels, and fell off the top level twice before she realized gravity would always win, no matter how high she flung herself. When she was sleeping upside down in the little house, my mum realized she was not a boy at all, but we still stuck with Charlie. Eventually she grew restless in that cage too, so I connected both together and she loved that setup. We went on holiday a few times, she spent 2 weeks living with my friend, and another 2 with my neighbor, and 1 with a family with another hamster. She captured a lot of their hearts, Although she was a little naughty and she bit some of them! One day, she took a fall that was nobody's fault, but left her badly injured. We fed her porridge and baby food and medicine for about a month, until yesterday I noticed her sleeping in a funny position, and on waking her, she was shaking. I put her back in her bed, and, about 20 minutes later, I saw her laying with her eyes open beside her bed. Today we are going to bury my sweet Charlie Charleston Charlington Charles.

I love you Charlie xxx

Oh no, Charlie! Oh Linford, I'm so sorry. Beautiful Charlie was so cute and funny and sweet. I know this is hard for you. Charlie is the reason I bought Patches her first snuggie. Because of Charlie liking hers I thought Patches would like one too...and she does. Run free Charlie. I will miss you little girl. Linford, you have my sympathy {hugs}
