I am so sorry for your loss, Smudge was clearly loved. It s so cruel when they go too soon but you have made the right decision. I hope you are okay though as I am sure it hurts a lot being without him these first days.
A very lovely writing for him, too, I could really picture him on top of the wheel and digging. Hugs for you and Smudge, play well with my Woody and Stephen.
