Sandy <3
Sandy was the friendliest, most sociable hamster I have had yet. Other than to my dad, she liked to bite his fingers because they're rough from work, I guess they resembled food to her!
I had her for 18 months and she lived a happy and healthy life until the end, one day I was getting incredibly bad pains in my stomach, so went for a lie down and noticed my little girl was bleeding, got her straight to the vets and she'd suffered a prolapse and there was nothing the vet could do for her, so I had her put to sleep. She did manage to have a last run on the vets table before she went, it was as if she knew as she hadn't had much energy in her cage! Amazingly once she was asleep, I didn't act ally have stomach pains anymore, was quite strange!
Miss her loads, she was amazing! She's only smell food and would run around madly till she got a treat of her own!
Here she is:
She stood there for a good 5 minutes waiting for my mom to come back downstairs, and soon as the door opened she dashed over to her!
R.I.P Beautiful <3

Re: Sandy <3
Sorry for your loss! You did the best thing for her by letting her dream with dignity.

Re: Sandy <3
I love the picture of her asleep on her back by the wheel. Her pictures are wonderful. I know you are missing her. It's always hard to lose our furry babies. No matter how many little hammies and gerbils I get, I miss them when they go to the bridge. They take up a place in your heart and that doesn't disappear when they pass on. I am so sorry you've lost her.

Re: Sandy <3
It was incredibly hard, I think seeing her in so much pain made it worse
