Re: My Baby Alfred...
There is no better way to show love to our little furries than to help them move on with dignity, and without pain. Some go on their own and don't need the extra help, but when they are hurting, they need us to put our own hurt aside and look for that additional aid. Thank god for vets because some furries really need that extra help to get to peace. I'm sure your baby Alfred thanks you for such a gift. I am so sorry you've lost him. I am also glad your heart is large enough to start thinking of giving another hammie the same kind of love and care that Alfred had for all his life. I hope you find peace for your hurting heart.

Re: My Baby Alfred...
Making the decision to put a pet to sleep is never an easy one, in fact so often we neglect to realize just how much pain our little one might be in. I had taken Melvin to the vet full well expecting that there would be no other option but to put him to sleep. I've had to put 2 hamsters down, both were suffering and if it had not been for my girlfriend at the time telling me that it is selfish to allow them to suffer I don't know if I would have been able to go through with it. I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm sure he's happy now, and in no pain :/
