Tonight I found my little winter white Turner all curled up dead in his nest. I knew as soon as I looked in his cage that he was dead - his food from last night was untouched.
I last saw him running on his wheel after his ball run when I fed him last night - the strange thing is that he's been very active these last few days, more so than normal. He's been looking very thin lately (as my other four old boys do as well) but he was always lively. It's a shock because he was so active - somehow I always thought he'd outlive his brother (who rarely comes out willingly anymore). His life seems so short, I hope it was happy.
I've left him in his nest for tonight - tomorrow Will and I will bury him in the garden. Will is away on a school trip until tomorrow morning so he doesn't know yet
Night night little Turner and sleep tight, you will be missed
