Default Berry

We took Berry to the vets at lunchtime and she was put to sleep. She fought hard to recover from her illness but she was getting worse and in pain so we made the very hard decision to let her go peacefully.
I will never forget Berry. I first saw her and her sisters when she was 4 weeks old and went to get her a couple of weeks later. I had never seen a cream roan before and had no idea then that they are quite unusual and she was even more special because she was a satin. She was a lovely, lively hamster always full of fun and keen to come out and play. She was a wonderful mother to my first Wyeside babies and I am so very sad to lose her.
This is one of my favourite photos of her. I was so excited when she had her babies and spent many hours watching her rounding them up when they first started to come out of the nest.

RIP Berry

I'm so sorry, Gill. Berry was an absolutely beautiful hamster, both in looks and personality, and I remember what a superb mum she was. I know how much you loved her and that you must be devastated she is gone - but I hope you realise that she had a brilliant home with you and a wonderful life. You were very brave to make that final decision to help her.

RIP Berry, you will live on in your children and grandchildren.

I'm so sorry.... she was a little beauty x

She sounded like a lovely girl - the final decison is never easy even when we *know* it's the 'right' thing to do.

Goodbye Berry x

Thinking of you.

I am deeply sorry to hear of the loss of little Berry. Like her coat she had a shining character and a glow about her that made her that very special hamster she was. Her life was filled with joy and though she was called too soon for you, her family, you were brave enough to give her the last gift. She is whole now and treading the next great path to a new level and one day I know your paths will cross again.
I hope her memories and the look on the faces of her children and grandchildren will remind you of her and help you through this hard time
Rest in Peace Beautiful Berry

Oh Gill, I am so so so sorry to hear about Berry passing away.

There's nothing I can say, I know how much you loved her and I shared your anxiety yesterday about her being poorly.

She had a wonderful life with you, and she will live on in her children and grandchildren, left as a gift to you and to others such as Julie and Leanne.

sleep well Berry, little girl x

Oh no poor Berry. She was a lovely hamster and a brilliant Mum. I'm sure she knew how much you loved her, and her memory will live on in her children. R.I.P little Berry.

Oh Gill, I don't know what to say.
She was so gorgeous, and all you could ever hope for in a hamster. I know she was loved more than any hamster could possibly hope for and her memory will be cherished for ever.

I am just so sorry.
