Default Peaches

Last night when Peaches woke up she was all wobbly and kept falling over. I took her to the vet first thing this morning and the vet thought she had a problem with her brain and said it was highly unlikely that she would recover, so I made the very sad decision to have her put to sleep.
I know some people think that animals shouldn’t be purchased from P@H, my vet certainly does. However, I can’t regret buying Peaches. She was only with us for a few days but she was such a sweet-natured, out-going and pretty hamster. She’d had virtually no human contact before she came to us but she was growing to love me and I certainly loved her.
RIP my little baby, I wish you could have stayed with us longer.

I am so ,so sorry Basia. She was so beautiful and sometimes things are so unfair. It is such a puzzle when such things happen. She has left a mark on your heart so her short life was never in vain. It was happy and she did not suffer. You were brave and made absolutly the right choice for her, a choice made from love. Rest in Peace little Peaches and say hi to all the Custards up there at the bridge.
Treasure the time that you have with a pet,
Treasure it close to your heart
Treasure the love that you share with a pet
For you never know when you will part

I'm so sorry Gill, what happens is so unfair sometimes.

I know how much you loved her already and you gave her a wonderful home - she must have been so happy to be with you even though it was for such a short time. I'm so glad for her that she had you.

RIP beautiful little Peaches

I'm so sorry, you had such a small amount of time together but at least she knew love from you. She was a beautiful hamster.

Rest In Peace little girl.

Oh Gill - I can't believe that Peaches has gone. Such a small time with you, but what a huge place she filled in your heart.

It just seems so unfair somehow. That poor sweet little girl. At least her short life was filled with love and an abundance of care and attention. Hugs to you Gill xx

Sleep well beautiful little Peaches. x

Play hard over the bridge little Peaches!

I'm sorry you didn't have more time together - I know, though, that she will have loved every minute with you; and you should treasure every memory.

I am so sorry for your loss
You gave Peaches a wonderful, loving, caring home and i am sure she treasured every minute with you as you did with her.
It is such a horrible thing to go through but you made the decision to let her go peacefully and pain free.

RIP Peaches, run free at the bridge x

*hugs to you*

Thanks for all your kind thoughts, it is much appreciated. It has been a horrible day and the hamster room doesn't seem right without Peaches on her shelf.
It's amazing how quickly these little creatures get into your heart. I love each and every one of mine and no two are the same. I just feel so sad that Peaches didn't have the long and full life she deserved.

Oh my god I can't believe it - when I saw the title I had to check which board I had clicked into.

I am so so so sorry Gill, she stole your heart on the day you got her and you gave her a lovely home for her short days. It is better that she went to you to be put to sleep than to go to some family who don't bother with vets where she may have suffered from this.

RIP Peaches xx
