He was lucky to have had you, I just wish he could have had the long life he deserved. I'm so sorry, I came on here dreading to see this but hoped that I wouldn't.

Herbert's only been in our life about 12 days, but we'd be devastated if anything happened to him now. Little critters always leaves such gaping big holes don't they?

Everyone has helped me feel a bit better with all your kinds words. I still miss him and know i need to start cleaning his cage away but still feel as though i should see him popping out for a little nosey!

Hanlou you're so right! I'm just so glad i can talk to people on here and have people that understand me without thinking i am mad or weird! There is no one in my family that are great animal lovers so they cant understand where i'm coming from.

Since my papa passed away last February i have found more of an interest in these furry little ones and find they take my mind off things. Its amazing how much they have a hold over you! And your heart

Jayne I am so so sorry I truly hoped he would make it I am such a softy these things really get to me even when they aren't my fluffball. I wish there was something to say or do that would help, but sadly there isn't, just time and happy memories to share with others, and you have such a sweet photograph to remember him by. Sweet dreams Pepsi.

Yes, i wish we could have had many more months/years together but it wasnt meant to be sadly.

My OH has told me to hold off getting another hamster until we have our cages etc thoroughly cleaned and also to try from a breeder as we refuse to go to a pet shop now.

I called Pets at Home to advise that Pepsi had died...... not interested in the slightest
