Lily is dead, too!

I found Lily dead tonight half an hour ago. she was asleep in her nest. She was fine around 3pm, so has died this afternoon. She has never been the same since Poppy died. She hasn't really connected with me at all and he eyes looked wrong and hopeless. In fact, for this past week i would've described her eyes as looking like those of a dead hamster. She hasn't made eye contact with me once since Poppy's death, which is really weird and not like her. She used to run out of the nest if i spoke or touched the cage, but not this week. I think she gave up.


Lily right, Poppy left.

Poppy and Lily really helped me when i was going through a period of depression 2 years ago and have been my special friends. I hope they're happily reunited and playing together.

Bunsey, I'm so sorry to hear about Lily, I'm sure she has found Poppy again now. RIP little ones.

I'm sorry too, it does sound like she missed Poppy and was really pining for her. RIP little Lily

Oh Bunsey, that is so sad. To lose Lily so soon after Poppy. I too know how these little guys can help when you are having a hard time, and how much you appreciate them and all they have done for you when you 'come out the other side'. I do hope Poppy and Lily have now found each other again and are playing happily.

I am so very sorry. Even hamsters can pine for their life mates so she is happy now together with her sister again. RIP Lily

That is so sad. Roborovskiis can be very attached to each other and suffer from depression when they are separated.

Keep their pictures close by so they will always be cherished.
