Default Syrian breeders in or near Missouri?

The title says it all...I am just wondering if anyone knows of any good breeders in or near Missouri. I would travel a bit if needed. I'm not necessarily looking for anything immediate, since I am about to be getting a new hamster. But I would love to know of a future resource, planning in advance for the next time.

Michigan has Misty River and Ohio has Nancy who is a member here.

Indiana has The Pipsqueakery who is a fabulous rescue and you might be able to work out some closer pick up with them. They do have baby hamsters due to rescues and even a three day old litter. They are probably the closest and I would urge you to speak to them. always great to give a hamster a home!

Hillcrest is in Missouri but unsure if they are still breeding or not. Google Hillchrest Great Danes and there is a Hamster website link.

Thanks you two for your replies.

Hekomi, I looked up the rescue (that is usually the route I take when possible), and I have bookmarked it for future reference. I really like Jane! (Are her babies the ones you were referring to?) And based on what I have seen here, I would of course love one of Nancy's, LOL, but I can't do that much distance unfortunately.

Nancy, Thank you, I had heard of Hillcrest before as well, but couldn't find anything current. I will try to look her up again.

Edit: I thought I had heard of Hillcrest before...but now that I'm trying to look it up, I believe it was another breeder that I was thinking of, Danemark Danes. Whoops! It's funny though that there would be two hamster / Great Dane breeders in MO.

Yes! Jane is the one with the babies. She has ten itty bitties right now and it they're anything like mum they'll be cool as cucumbers. The Pipsqueakery just did three pretty large intakes (one was of about 30 hamsters, where the shelter just put them altogether... so all but two females were pregnant) one from NY of about 20, and then Jane and her siblings of about 10. Jane of course was pregnant, so more pups. Eep!

No that is her. She didn't use her Dane kennel name for her hamsters. I purchased Hamsters from her several years back and she was very nice to work with. She at that time bred Yellows/Blacks/ ED Blacks, and Silver grays in the banded pattern. Her name is Karen.

I know right x_x; I'm not sure if they were pregnant before getting there, but as the shelter was handing them to the Pipsqueakery, they'd go "this is male, this is female" so they obviously knew...?
