Question Hamster Rescues in London

Hi,
Recently lost my beloved hammy but I am ready to give another a loving home.

Does anyone know any good rescues in London (particularly around Richmond)? I want to adopt a ham this time rather than encourage pet shops as there are so many hams out there that need loving homes.

Thanks

I got my 2 from the Starlight Trust in Wallington, Surrey. The people running the Trust are very nice and care about the animals deeply. They currently have winter white hamsters that are struggling to find homes. I got my WW after I lost my Syrian too and now have 2 of them (a boy and a girl). They are so friendly and cheeky and they make me laugh all the time.

But take a look at their website before you decide: Starlight Trust - Meet the Animals

There is also the ARC in Twickenham but they don't always have hammies.

I contacted Starlight Trust and ARC as they didn't have any syrian hams on their website and now waiting for replies. I think I want a Syrian again and might get a ww as well later on.
Thanks.

You could also try GBH in Beckeham (30 mins by train from Central London) as they I believe have quite a few Syrians.

I recently adopted a Robo from Pets @ Home. I kept seeing him there on his own for ages, so I took him in

I had a long chat with the manager and some of the staff there and the hamsters they have there for adoption are either ones they've taken in (sometimes dumped, in a box, on their doorstep during the night - disgusting I know) or they're the unsold ones from they're own stock.

There's a suggested charity donation of 5 (I donated 10) and that money goes to different animal rescue charities.
