Hi! I'd thought I would introduce my hammie and I! :) Pics!!
Hello everyone! I just joined this forum yesterday, and I'm glad I did. I have 1 Syrian, a rusty colored male hamster named Carmelo. He is my first hamster, I got him around Easter time this year and I love him dearly.
Here are some pictures:

Hello hammiesarelovex3,
Weclome to the forum! I'm glad you joined with us, and make sure to tell all your friends about Hamster Central too!
I think your hamster looks perfectly fine in weight. My hamster (who looks just like yours) seem to be roughly the same size and fullness. I think you need not worry to much, you hamster looks perfectly healthy to me!

I'm not going to vote for either as I think he is just fine. I have had a lot worse... One of my hamsters was well over over 210g at his maximum... he was a lovely hamster though and managed to win his Class twice. He may have won Best In Show, the only thing that let him down was his colour... not his size

Your doesn't look overweight at all! The smallest of our Syrians is about 130g and our largest is 218g so there is quite a range! Oh, and welcome to the forum!

I agree your little guy looks just perfect. We weigh ours on the kitchen scales from time to time. Males are usually smaller than females but a lot depends on the breeding lines. He is a sweetie!

He looks perfectly fine to me, we do have a weekly weigh in thread which you may wish to join. It is good to keep a track of your hamsters weight as changes in this can be a first indicator of illhealth. Hamsters are prey crratures and therefore are very good at hiding pain, but cannot as easily hide weight loss or gain.
