Awww, that's so cute! I didn't know Robos were like that, winter whites seem so deliberate with their actions.

Yes, that's so true. I have a winter white and when she wants to come out she plonks herself down by her door and waits to get picked up. She then goes into her transport position on my hand ready to get carried to the free roaming area.
I couldn't imagine a Robo ever doing that.

I removed everything from Scottie's cage today and cleaned out a couple of pee spots then took the bottle brush to the tubes. No signs of anything unsavoury i'm glad to report.

There's definitely an element of trust now. Scottie didn't get upset while in the playpen and he came running when i called him.
Once back home he checked that everything was where it should be and investigated something new.

Then we had a chat. He sat, looked at me and listened. And then it was time for another wash....

That was because he was in the playpen and wanted out of it.

Ria that's amazing! I love that picture, he's so cute and he looks so content. Does he make any noises back when you talk to him?

Scottie just looks at me but doesn't make any noises.

He threw a tantrum after our chat. On closer inspection, he must have realized that i had removed all his substrate (and put 3/4 of it back in plus some fresh) and vaccumed some of his poops and old seeds up.

I have seen angry Robos before but Scottie has a temper.
He raced around, climbed the bars once and twice bar chewed! I had never seen a Robo bar chew before. He calmed down when he found some hidden treats, ate them, cooled down on his wheel and was his usual sunny self again.

Scottie bit me once, drawing blood when i first got him and checked him over. That was another first with a Robo. He had been kept in a group that had started to fight so was probably still in a defence mode.

Later on in the evening he hovered around so i offered him his mug and he walked into it for some playground time.

Oh wow! He really was annoyed. I find it positive he feels confident enough to show his feelings. Not nice for you though to get a telling off.
