New member.
Hello. My name is Gwen. I'm a new member and live in Canada.
I've been reading threads here for several months because there is so much good information for a beginner hamster owner like me.
I have a black and white Syrian hamster named Anton. I've had him for one and a half weeks and so far things are going well.
Because I enjoy craft projects, I built an enclosure for Anton using a 4' by 4' dog pen, and covered the walls and roof with wire mesh. The enclosure is quite large. I can get inside.
I also made tunnels, a deep nesting box, 2 hides, a long bridge with a railing and other things for my pet's amusement.
I've learned a lot from this group and look forward to learning more.

Hi Gwen.
Welcome to the Forum.
May I ask what part of Canada are you from? I have family in Montreal
Anton is a lovely name for a hamster and I am intrigued with how you are able to get inside his enclosure. Looking forward to seeing photos of Anton
Enjoy your time here on Hamster Central.
Take care
Mweekie xx

Re: New member.
Thanks for all of the warm welcomes. I'm not sure how to upload a photo here but I will try to figure it out.
@Mweekie
I live in northern British Columbia in a remote area so I had to travel to a nearby city to get a hamster.

Re: New member.
I tried to upload a photo but it would not work. I think the picture size is too large but I don't know how to edit it.
