Exclamation Hey! I’m so new to all this🙂

So I got A baby robo (kiwi) last week & here’s a few things I’ve noticed he’s been doing..

So sometimes he will just be over energetic (almost agitated?) I feel like he’s going crazy from one side of the cage to the other like lapping it really fast
Do I need a Bigger cage?
Or should Let him out on a bigger space so he can run around?

He is really confident around he and comes to my hand and loves trying to nibble my sleeve. I Can’t tell if he’s stressed or not because I’m over at him clapping him, but he seems to like it. When I clap him he doesn’t flinch or phase him he lets me
& everytime I put my hand flat in the cage he always walks over my hand or stands on it for a few seconds

Not sure if he’s drinking enough water, he’s not even drank quarter of his bottle since I filled it up on Sunday?

Ps. I am an over thinker

Thanks guys

Ellie

Hi and welcome to HC!

You are lucky to have such a confident Robo because mostly they are really shy and timid and won't let anybody clap them after only a week.

Robos are very active by nature and most spend a lot of time running on their wheels so they need a good wheel that spins easily. They also need a sandbath because they love rolling around in it. My Robo, who us now quite old, has the 55cm long bendy Trixie ladders in his tank and still runs across them.

What kind of cage do you have? Even though they are tiny, they do like space to run around in and deep substrate to burrow in.

Also, they like fresh water and really you should change his water daily. If you're worried about him not drinking enough, which i don't think is the case, i'd give him a tiny (size of your pinkie nail) piece of cucumber daily.

Maybe you could post a photo of Kiwi's set up.
