Unhappy Please help

Hello -
I have a (nearly) two year old hamster called Zeus.
He's very lively and has a great appetite, and has been fine recently.
My partner went to let him out of his 'cage' earlier, for a run around. He immediately noticed that Zeus' stomach was very hard and swollen on both sides, he asked me to check, as I am the one who usually handles Zeus, and I straight away agreed that he feels very different to how he usually does.
He also doesn't want carrot I have offered him, which is odd.
I've made an account just so that I can have some guidance and help please, as I love Zeus more than anything and I'm worried.
Thank you - Emily

He needs seen by a vet to establish what is causing the bloating.
He is however a very elderly hamster at this age and he may have something going on internally that can't be fixed especially if he is refusing food he would normally take.
I hope he can be seen very soon.

I hope Zeus can be seen soon. As Souffle said, elderly hamsters can have a number of internal issues but being off food is a serious sign he is unwell. Wishing you both all the best

As souffle said, you should go see a vet. Hoping Zeus will get better soon.
