Need help sexing my hamster!

Hi there!

I have had my hamster for about 5 months now, his name is Monty.

when I got him I was told by the breeder that he was a male, however over the past couple of months I have become sceptical.

I have not once properly seen any large testicles, and I have been trying to research to identify if he is male or female but I am stuck!

I have felt for nipples and cant feel any, and I'm not too sure about his genital area and how wide apart they are.

If someone could take a look and let me know their thoughts, that would be great!

He is very healthy, and I'm not at all worried. Just intrigued

I have used a glove while taking the photos as he's not a fan of being held in that position haha <3

I think you are right, looks like a little girl to me, I can't see any balls
Her fur looks quite fuzzy, maybe the nipples are just well hidden

Lovely looking hamster.

Here is an example of what the backend of a male looks like. It's a different shape from a female.
This one is short haired so his balls look rather prominent.

Ria P is right _ males are very different at the back! I think you have a very cute little girlie there. "She" looks rather indignant _ love that little face! Here is my Male showing off his very pointy rear end he even has different coloured fur there _ most of him is dark brown but he has gingernuts!
