Rodney
Rodney came on the scene in my Foster Hamsters thread and he's here to stay.
The family who had him before us didn't like him but we do.
Taming is going well considering his past and he's the unfussiest hamster i've ever met. So far he's gobbled up everything put in front of him.

Re: Rodney
Your hamster is most likely just cramming the food in his/her pouches to bring it to their nest. this is called "hoarding", and it is totally natural. hamsters do this because their ancestors had to save food for winter.

Re: Rodney
Is he the one that you were finding hard to give up for adoption?

Well no, it has nothing to do with Henry's passing. If Henry were alive and i dearly wished he was, then Rodney would be living upstairs where he was before but i would still have kept him.

Of course, hope I didn't upset you Ria. That was not my intention.

Re: Rodney
I know, Luna. I didn't think for a minute that you were trying to upset me.

Re: Rodney
Today Rodney moved into Henry 's Alaska.
The layout is simiar to his previous cage so it wasn't too much of a change. He had a good sniff around and did his usual hamster stuff then came out for some free roaming time.
He's back in his cage now and pouching toilet paper strips to make his bed. He seems content which is lovely to see.
