Default Newbie!

Dear Hamster Central,

I found this wonderful forum via Victoria Raechel's Youtube channel. My daughter, almost 10, wants to get her first hamster, and we are keen to learn everything we can to make it enriching for her little hamster friend and for her. This forum has so many insights.

If you are from Canada, I was wondering where you get your hamsters from? We are in Victoria BC and options seem to be slim, (to avoid the big pet stores). There is Creatures, who sometimes make hand raised hamsters available from local breeders, but we don't know where else to look. She is hoping for a dwarf hamster.

Best wishes,

Tara

Hello and welcome to HC!

You have found the right place to learn all about hamsters and you're wise to do your research beforehand. I wished i had.

Anything you want to know, just ask.
