Talking Hi! New hamster owners

Hi. My 17 yr old daughter got a long-haired Syrian hamster given to her recently. She named him Cornbread. He is a sweet little mess. I'll be honest, I'm 50 and have never had one, and I didn't want the bother of it at this time in my life, but now I love him to pieces. I call him my "gran ham".

We are trying our best to learn all we can to make his life as happy as possible.

I will be reading threads and asking a couple of questions about strange things he does and ways to get him to change his behavior or maybe change something else!

Hi TheCindarelly, and welcome to Hamster Central. Cornbread looks such a sweet little hamster. I have one that is very fond of coconut shells too. Enjoy the forum.

Hello and welcome to HC!

Cornbread looks lovely! I also have some coconut lovers at home and got my first hamster over a year ago. I'm in my 60's and have added another three to my original hamster. Everything i know now i have learned on this wonderful forum so ask away and keep posting photos of your cute, new family member.
