Hi! - New member to Hamster Central

Hello everyone! You can call me Celestial (like my account name), or Celi for short. I'm looking forwards to learning more about hamsters!

Most of what I know about dwarf hamsters comes from my parents, who owned several before I was born, and from the internet.
Compared to most of you, I am pretty inexperienced with hamsters, as I have only had one.

I got my first hamster in April 2018, a Winter White Russian Dwarf hamster, who was at least a few weeks old. We named her Marshmellow because she was all white except for her back-stripe... and then she turned grey(ish)! I fondly remember us picking her out, and our joy that she "didn't bite us" haha. After we tamed her, she was super adorable; she loved laying on us while being petted and massaged. After about a year, she would take naps on us while being petted. Yesterday, she passed away of old age (she was close to 2 years old). She was sleeping in her nest, innocently and peacefully, immaculately groomed as usual, even with food in her cheeks, having lived a life full of naps, treats, and love.
