Thank you all for you replies much appreciated. Littlephodopusmum, Leo goes into the ball as soon as I put it up to the door of the cadge, I leave the ball in the play pen and when he is ready he goes into the ball and I return him to his cadge. Regarding the smell this was Larry's cadge but I disinfected it out and all toys were thrown out, and I purchased new one's. But I will certainly keep that in mind and keep an eye on Leo from now on.
