It can take them a while to settle on one pee spot so you may not find that until she does so don't worry about it just yet. The only problem might be if she's nesting in the tube she might pee in there too which would be difficult to monitor & clean. If that did happen it might be an idea to try repacing the tube with something like a cork tunnel, not the tube but the half ones that you could just lift up to check under.
I agree with this! I always return at least 2/3 of the 'old' bedding. Also, my roborovski doesn't have a 'spot' so to speak, but poops a lot on his wheel so I class that as his spot. Many moons ago when I last owned a Syrian, he always used a corner by his wheel.

That's actually a good one! The "tube" is made out of cardboard (it's a piece i cut off from a large tube that was inside a roll of carpet) so I can easily cut it in half. She now seems to sleep in the wooden log so I'll take the tube out when I get home tonight and check if she peed in there.

Update: there has been some progress! I was able to stick in my hand with treats without her running away. It's now around 11pm and she's quite active. She carefully sniffed my hand and then walked away again, to which I left the treats behind for her. So I'm happy about that!

Also I have one new concern: she keeps gnawing at her various houses/hide outs. I just caught her climbing on top of one as well, going for the top of the tank (which has a frame on top of it). I feel like she's trying to get out but she has quite the floorspace, so I'm not sure if that's normal? In the beginning she would try and dig in the corners, and now she's gnawing on houses that happen to be in the corner..

Good to hear you're making progress.
It sounds like she's just exploring at the moment, chewing on houses/hideouts shouldn't be a problem as long as they're all safe materials, does the tank have a lid just in case she does try to get out?
Does she have things she can chew, I don't know if you can get whimzee dog chews where you are but they usually keep them busy with chewing, you can also make little cardboard parcels to hide food or treats in & they'll happily chew that. Apple sticks are good too but some hams, aren't that interested. dandelion root but only in moderation due to it's strong herbal properties.
Some syrians do seem to need a lot of space but she may settle, it's still early days so don't worry just yet.

There's a lid on the tank and to be sure I put two stones on top so she can't lift it. I have some wood in the tank she could chew, but I'll try looking into something better for her to chew! My mom told me she still has an old hamster cage at home. It's not big, but if needed i could connect it to the tank somehow to give her extra space. But for now I just hope she'll settle.

Update: she's more and more curious. She won't take any treats off my hand yet (also I'm gonna buy bigger treats) but she's not really startled anymore. I took a picture!

Will try that, thanks!

Update: I haven't had much time to try and handle her since my last post, mainly due to her being up way later than normal. She tends to change her schedule a lot or hide in her nest while awake. I did see her this morning so I talked to her for a bit (she seemed somewhat startled at the sudden noise after a long night of silence). Yesterday she took a treat I offered to her and then vanished again, so at least that's progress. She seems to be kind of going back and forth in her progress, as if she has confidence shifts. I'll just continue to be patient with her and hope she'll soon be confident enough to at least sit on my hand.
