Default Hammie with a lump

Hi, our hammie has started growing a lump which we noticed a week ago and seems to be getting larger. I'm not sure if it's a cyst and wondered if anyone could advise. Many thanks

The poor wee thing. It looks like it could be one of several things and I would suggest you take your ham to a specialist vet so they can have a proper look at it and feel it gently. Hope your ham gets better soon x

Thank you. I think it was an abcess which sorted itself out yesterday. I've bathed it and everything seems to have come out so fingers crossed it's all healing.

I would definitely get him checked over by a vet. If it was an abscess, he may need antibiotics. Even with bathing it for him, there's still a high risk of infection from his substrate and from food
