Hi everyone, I am a currently keeping a pair of Russian Campbell’s (male, siblings, 5months old). For disclaimer, I am aware of the dangers of keeping pairs and is quite cautious about changes in their temperament. But this is not what I am here for today.
I had little interest about the colors and genetics of the hamsters I keep, I love them all as they are. Much less because I don’t intent to breed. However, their exposure to various social media accounts have gained recurring curious questions about what their color may be.
For a while, after some research from reputable websites, I was convinced that they are red-eyed argente. However there’s some doubt at the back of my mind as to whether they may actually be beige. I have scoured for sources on how to differentiate the two, but obviously without success. That’s why my curiosity have finally got the better of me.
