Default Hamster has thing above eye

Hello everyone (wave)

I have a hamster and it has this thing on top of it’s eye. In the picture you can see, it don’t hurt him as I know of I mean I touch it while petting him but it dose probably iterate him Because it makes his eye close half way all the time. If you could let me know what this is or looks like.

Thank you,

Renee

It looks like a viral ward. These are not uncommon in hamsters. They can get quite large and affect things as you are seeing with the eye. I would have this checked by a vet and see about getting it removed as this is often not too difficult. You hammy may start scratching it causing bleeding and it does need checked in case it is a small tumour.
