I’m New here! Yay!
Hi All,
I’m New to this website and new to owning a hamsters. Just wanted to introduce myself and I will have lots of questions soon. I inherited my 13 yr old daughters hamsters. She wanted just one, I caved and said yes, we ended up with 34 hamsters! I did my research and figured out at least how to keep them from reproducing for now. We now have 21 hamsters. I have actually fallen in love with them myself. Now I maintain all of them along with my daughters help. I want to educate both of us on what type we have and what all we need to know about them. I would also like to know what color types and or names of the colors we have. I will post pics also. Thanks everyone for having us!

Re: I’m New here! Yay!
Hi All,
I have our 21 hamsters separated by sex and they live together in a large wooden cage that my daughters father built just for them. The is a wall dividing the sexed so we don’t have anymore accidental pregnancies. The ages range but most are now very young adults. I still have a few babies that are about 2 months. I need to know what type I have. I believe we have Syrian, but will post pics to get a definite answer. Also can someone help me name the colors that we have? I am adding pics now.

You can't keep Syrians in groups as they are solitary animals. Pics would be good
