Wanting to learn about being a hamster owner
Hi there,
I remember back when I was a child, the cherished moments I had bonding with my hamsters. I adored my hamsters and I believe strongly that being able to own a hamster, when I was young helped me learn responsibility and the cycle of life.
My hubby and I, along with our 3 month old little girl, and two cats are expats in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We have decided that its time to look into adding a hamster to our little family and even though our baby wont be handling or actively be involved in this little creature's life, we feel that to be around and be part of it all will be a good experience for her. Ok, I will admit it - I miss having hamsters in my life - giggle!
I really look forward to going through the forum and learning all I can before getting our hamster. I began researching recently and alot has changed in awareness in the past 30 years.
Any guidance and help would be so appreciated.

Re: Wanting to learn about being a hamster owner
Hello and welcome to HC. There's so much wonderful information here. It's also important that you keep your hamster in a separate room away from your cats.
