Hello, I am so happy to find people that know how amazing hamsters are. At work people talk about their cats and dogs. When I mention my hamster Abel, and that I have a hamster people get quiet. I fell in love with hamsters after I adopted a Russian Dwarf, and I called her Buddy. I was amazed how smart and intuitive she was. She lived to 2 years old and three months. She passed and my heart was broken and I adopted Abel. He is one year and 3 months old. I ended adopting a dwarf hamster and Teddy Bear this month. So I have three Hamsters. I look forward seeing what this site is all about. Being I have only raised two Russian Dwarfs, and I am new and totally green when it comes to my two new furry friends. My Abel doesn't know what he is, and am pretty sure he thinks he is human. My two newest are settling in. My Dwarf hamster is hyper and I am working with her by talking to her, and I put my hand in her cage. My Teddy Bear is somewhat like my Russian dwarfs where. He is fine being held and like to hang with me and sleep beside me.
