Do I need to groom my hamster?
Hi I am new on hamster central and I was wondering if I need to groom my long haired Syrian hamster (male)? I have looked around the internet and cant find any answers. He is not matted but I was just wondered. Any advice would be appreciated!

Re: Do I need to groom my hamster?
You can do if his skirt gets bedding caught in it or starts to get messy or anything. A soft toothbrush would work fine and you’d only really need to brush the tufty bits - depends on his coat length I guess.

Re: Do I need to groom my hamster?
Glad to hear he's enjoying his grooming. I would be careful not to do it too often though, only when his coat is looking a bit scruffy or has anything stuck to it.
