New to this site and new hamster owner!

I've found this website answers alot of my hamster questions on taking care of my syrian hammie! Her name is mariposa. It only took me 1 week to tame her to at least eat from my hand and be comfortable with me carrying her and running all over me, thanks to this website! Hope i pick up more tips and tricks on caring for my hamster!

Hello! And yes I've been looking through threads on here non-stop since i got her! I'm still figuring out this website.. I have no idea how to upload pics on here and i really would like to!

Thank you! And yes she's so friendly! Actually when my boyfriend got her for me, he chose her because she was isolated from the rest and obviously scared. I feel like she had anxiety (like me! lol) But she never bit, or put a defensive front on. She just seemed to hide and shake.. we started interacting with her more on her 4th day though lol we didn't give her that much alone time as we were excited ourselves.. I guess it worked out cause now she doesnt stop chasing my hands when i clean the cage, and she doesnt jump like she used to when i come near her. It's funny cause when my cousin or sister walks in on me playing with her in her play pen, she hides behind me and i can feel her fluffy body pushing against me xD! I've only had her for 3 weeks! Mariposa means "butterfly" in spanish hahaha
