Hello - new here today
Hi - just wanted to say hello. We are planning to get our first syrian in a couple of weeks - it will be our daughters pet, she is 6, we already have gerbils but she has asked for a syrian, almost set up with the cage etc now, just waiting for some more bits to arrive then we can buy the toys, bedding, food etc etc. Once this is all here we can start looking for the hamster. Apparently a boy will be called Thunder & a girl one will be called labour (I have no idea where this name has appeared from). I am going to post in the breeding section to see if there are any breeders near me in Cheshire that have any available, if not then hopefully I can get some advice on the best place to get one from.

Oh I am very excited!!! Just filled in the adoption paperwork for my local hamster rescue - hope to have one within the next week or two

We are having Noodles from a rescue centre - he is now reserved for us, providing all is ok with the cage this week we can pick him up this weekend - he is such a little cutie
