Long time no see.
Hello everybody from Japan.
More than a year have passed since last participation.
There was a new encounter in this past year. There was also parting.
But as ever, I love hamsters.
I am not good at English but I would like to participate in conversation again.
I am currently living with two dwarf hamsters
He is 2 year and 2 months old.
Is your hamster how old are you?
Hamsters around me often live over 2 years old.
How about you?

Re: Long time no see.
Hello and welcome back to HC! Your English is fine. I am sad to hear about your loss, but I am very excited that you have two dwarfs in your life. The pic of your little fluffy is SO adorable; he looks excellent for his age. What is his name, and what is the name of your other dwarf?

Re: Long time no see.
Welcome back
Lovely photo of your little ham there, what are their names?
Two tends to be quite a good age for a Russian hamster here but some do live longer than others.

Re: Long time no see.
Thanks your comment.
The name of the sleeping ham is "Chataro".
And this is "Nodoka".
She is 1 year and 6 months old today.
It is said that the life span of dwarf hamsters in Japan is 2 years old.
But the fact that there are more living hamsters is the same.

Re: Long time no see.
By the way Do you use hamster balls?
This is not recommended for Japanese breeding books.
However, because it is sold in pet shops, some people use it...
How about in your country?
Is it common to use hamster balls?

Re: Long time no see.
Sweet photo, they both look lovely
Hamster balls are a controversial issue here, some people use them while others are against them so it's a personal choice really.

Re: Long time no see.
Aww, they both are SO adorable and absolutely lovely; I love both of their names, too. I totally love both pics. Happy 1 1/2 Year Birthday to Nodoka! I wish her tons of extra fun and treats for her very special day.
Whether or not to use a hamster ball is also a personal choice here in the U.S. Many use them while others decide against them. I personally do not have one.
