New hamster owner
Hello everyone
I'm a new hamster owner, meet my dwarfs Phaistos (named after a minoan archaeological site) and Button (named after a F1 driver). First ever pets so I'm a little nervous but they are both such friendly girls, they don't bite, happily held and love taking treats from humans. They've settled in really well and seem to really love their new home.
As for their human owners, I'm a PhD student studying computer science, cyber security and computational archaeology, and my boyfriend is a software developer who specialises in industrial systems. We're based in Wiltshire, UK.

Hi and welcome to HC! Button and Phaistos are absolutely gorgeous and look so cuddly. I love their coloring and names, too. I'm glad that your little ones are settling in so well, and I'm sure that you and your boyfriend will have tons of fun with them. It is always totally natural to be a bit nervous with them being your first pets, but it is evident that you are doing an excellent job and they are very happy and well adjusted. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I look forward to getting to know these little ones, seeing more lovely pics of them when you get a chance, and seeing you around the forum.
