Default Chew toys

Hi. I have a Russian Dwarf Hamster and he has no interest in chew toys(even though I put loads in his cage). Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do? I heard dog treats are work but I’m not sure if they’re safe. He is my first hamster and I want to give him a good life.

Thanks
Stuart

Most of them aren't interested in chew toys tbh, you can try whimzee/antos dog chews, the small toothbrush is best, most hams love those.
You can also give dog biscuits now & then but do check ingredients as not all are safe, I give my Chinese hams half a Bonio every two or three weeks but my Russian doesn't like them.

Thank you. I actually have a dog so I’ll check the ingredients in some of his treats and I’ll try and order the tooth brushes. By any chance do you know if the dog treats “Pedigree Markies minis” are all right? It’s just that I don’t know what ingredients are hamster safe. If you can could you send me a list of suitable hamster dog treats?

My hammies used to love markies! All in moderation of course Willow twigs (you can get from pets at home) are usually chewed more than the actual wooden chew toys I find..and of course the ol' favourite...empty toilet roll x

I just stick to the ones I mentioned before, they're about the safest & healthiest options really.
