Unhappy Hamster question

I got my hamster today, YAY! I saw her go on her wheel in the pet store (very small wheel btw ) so I got her an 8.5-inch wheel which is perfect for Biscuit! But she isn't using it. Is this because of how its day time, she just moved in or she is just adjusting?

She's brand new so it's completely normal for her not to be on her wheel. Plus, hamsters are nocturnal. It's not unusual for a hamster to not use the items in their cage for up to the first week! Leave her be for at least 4-7 days and she should settle in well. You may even catch her on her wheel tonight

Yeah shes probably really scared and confused so she will be hiding from you for the most part. Wait about a week before you start to tame her.

She will likely try it at night, once it's dark and when nobody is around.

You could try spinning the wheel with your fingers, the wheel should keep on spinning & spinning without resistance. If it stops after 3-4 x's the hamster might not be able to move it, especially if you have a dwarf hamster? Alot of wheels are not being made correctly.
