Thank you for all the kind words guys - Rocket has settled in brilliantly. Both of us are loving our bonding sessions during playtime. It took me forever to get him back into his cage tonight, he kept climbing up my arm every time I tried as if to say 'no! Don't leave me!' Rocket has also experienced his first ever sand bath tonight, although he wasn't quite sure what to do with it so had a sniff and just decided to dart in and out numerous times.

Hello everyone, just a quick update. Rocket is doing exceptionally well but I have never met a hamster who loves being handled so much! When I put him in the plastic storage box I give him five minutes or so to play with the toys, munch on some milletspray and generally de-stress from being moved from his home.. however, as soon as I put my hand in there he literally jumps up on to me to get up and as soon as I put him back he tries climbing up the sides like a maniac to be picked back up. It's amazing how much he loves it! (He's too quick to get a picture of in my hands) [IMG]  [/IMG]

Aw! glad to hear he's doing so well, Russians do seem to like a human climbing frame to play on & most do enjoy being handled which is just so nice 
He's looking adorable there!
