Smile Hello! Getting a hamster soon

Hi!, I am new here and I am very excited to say that I will be getting a hamster in about 3 weeks. I will be getting the supplies at 1 or 2 more weeks. We are looking at hopefully getting a Syrian hamster since they are so easy to handle and they are more for beginners. Can't wait!

Welcome I just got my first Syrian hamster as an adult (I haven't had a hamster since I was a child about 20 years ago....) and I'm loving the experience Hamster Central seems to be a really good place to find out about which supplies are best and which cages are good, so do ask lots of questions as it has really helped me

I highly recommend zooplus for cages such as the alaska or the barney. Best of luck with your new friend.

What kind of cage will you be using? DIY bin cages are super easy and cheap and give lots of space!

Bin cages would be a great choice, especially having several direct expansions using multiple bins

I just added one on, although I would say its not for the faint-hearted... I could have made it a lot easier for myself if the bins were the same width and height! I will post a link - gtg rn
