Hello from Ava
Hi! I'm Ava
I am here because on a trip to PetCo yesterday to pick up cat food, I noticed a syrian in a tank on a table by himself for adoption. I asked an employee how long he had been there and she said at least three weeks. Later on in the night my boyfriend could see that I was still visibly upset about it and said we can go back when he is off work tonight to get him if he/she is still there.
This has gotten me very excited, I haven't owned hamsters since I was probably fifteen years old. I am planning on housing him in a bin cage. If anyone has any quick tips for me as it has been a while it would be greatly appreciated! I look forward to being a part of your community

Re: Hello from Ava
Hi Ava, welcome to the forum.
I hope you get your ham!
It's hard to give quick tips as there are a lot of different things to think about but just go slow, let your ham settle in for a few days & have a browse through the different sections here, if you don't find what you need to know just ask & I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Re: Hello from Ava
Hope you were able to adopt the hamster you liked. Welcome to HC, you'll find lots of ways to give your hammie a better life.
Upload pics if you have any, if you got her that is?
