Hello Happy Hamster People!
I used to have hamsters, lived them, thought they were awesome, had one of those ZooZone 2's that used to be considered the bees knees which went through numerous redecorations for the 6 Syrians it housed (only ever 1 at a time I hasten to add!).
Then I discovered rats, and hamsters became the "they're nice, but ...." animal of choice.
Now I'm an adult, with a partner who has put his foot down about rats even if they remain their own room/dedicated rat house outside. He has an almost phobic reaction and I don't like the thought of having a pet my other half freaks out about. Which has, nicely enough, brought me back to Syrians.
So I'm here to absorb your knowledge, like a knowledge leech, whilst working out if I really want to go back to having a hamster in my life.
Thank you all for contributing to this awesome resource of hamster goodness!
