New owner here.
Hey all!
Last week i got gifted a hamster by my sister.
I was looking looking at hamsters for a few weeks now but didn't somehow dare to bring one home.
He was being sold a few streets from here,he is 4 months old.
Seeing as they never gave him a name i named him sparky.
I am hoping to learn more about hamster care here.
The cage he is in right now is the cage he came in with and i everything goes right the new one will be coming tomorrow.
He only had one hideout and a wire weel,thankfully my sister gave me a new weel and some toys with him.
I did notice that the first 2 days he was really busy with trying to escape and bar chewing,but he doesn't do it as much now.
He is actually quite tame,and goes right into my hand when i put it for him,he loves exploring too.

Hello and Welcome to Hamster Central. That is so nice you could take Sparky in and give him a loving home and a new cage. He looks so cute in those photos and it's good that he fairly tame. I'm looking forward to hearing more about him.
