Hello from Bob and Myself!
Hello everyone!
I joined back in March when I first discovered my landlord would allow small animals in the apartment. I just decided not to post until I had finally gotten my little hammie.
So introducing Sir Bob Hammins!
We picked him up from our local Pets at Home last saturday and he's already quite a peculiar little fellow. It took him a few days to discover what the wheel actually did because he tried climbing over it, rather than inside but every time he wakes up, off he goes on it.
Hopefully being on these forums, I'll get to learn a lot of things about owning a hamster. I do have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management but that most certainly doesn't make me a professional when it comes to hamster care
I look forward to discussing hammie care with all of you and any advice is very much appreciated!

Thank you! He really is adorable.
I have a new picture of him I took a few moments ago, he was hiding in a corner next to his wheel

Hello and Congrats on Sir Bob Hammins. He is absolutely adorable, his face is so cute I especially like the picture of him eating from his bowl.

Hello Saffie and Sir Bob
What a lovely hammie. Sounds like you have ahead start on hamsterness, still I'm sure Sir Bob will train you up to snuff in no time.

Re: Hello from Bob and Myself!
Thank you all for your welcomes and comments on Bob! We really do appreciate it!
He's made some of his own progress as he's starting to get used to us, realising we're not a threat to him. So I finally got to feed him treats from out of my hand and stroke him.

Thank you! Yes he is my first hamster! I always owned rabbits and guinea pigs until I moved away from Wales to Suffolk. My landlord was really nice to allow me a hamster as no pet is like a void in my life.
Closest I got to another hamster was a little cream Syrian I named Honey at my college. I spent a lot of time looking after her because I did work experience there too in the rodent room.
